Kareem Farah: Building Emotion into Every Brick

Kareem Farah: Building Emotion into Every Brick

A space can hold people, or it can hold potential. When design meets intention, construction transcends function. A school becomes a catalyst. A cultural center becomes a heartbeat. These aren’t places defined by square footage. They’re defined by feeling. By the ways they echo into the lives that pass through them.

To build like this isn’t just a matter of engineering. It’s a philosophy. A boldness. A discipline of seeing the invisible—and making it concrete.

Walk through any landmark ECC Contracting has touched in the UAE—from visionary hotels to record-breaking innovations—and you’ll sense a quiet defiance against the ordinary. Driving this ethos forward are Kareem Farah and his siblings, continuing the proud legacy of the Farah family.

When Kareem took over the leadership position, of Engineering Contracting Company (ECC) in 2011, he wasn’t looking to replicate. He was here to redefine. At a time when most construction firms measured success in square meters, he was measuring it in impact.

Steering Legacy with a Future Lens

As CEO of Engineering Contracting Company (ECC) since 2011, Kareem, along with his with his three siblings, Sara, Kamal and Cian, has led the company with a clear and forward-thinking vision centered on innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
